2023 Wild & Scenic Film Festival

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 21st Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival taking place in-person February 16-20! You are about to join a team of volunteers who are highly passionate about environmental advocacy in our community. For detailed descriptions of each role, festival program information, and to purchase passes and tickets, please visit the Wild & Scenic website. Here is the 2023 Wild & Scenic Film Festival Volunteer Guide, which aims to answer frequently asked questions. 

Here is a step-by-step guide about how to sign-up below:

(1) Here you will find a list of volunteer opportunities available for the festival. You can view this list by JOB, LOCATION, DATE, or CALENDAR.

(2) Click on the volunteer job to expand a list of dates, select from the list of dates to show available shift times. You can click on "VIEW DESCRIPTION" for a description of the role and duties.

(3) To select a shift, simply check the box next to the shift time. You may select as many volunteer shifts as you like for yourself, but the system will not allow you to choose overlapping shifts.

(4) Once you have selected your preferred shifts, fill out the volunteer information below and click "Sign Up To Volunteer". Clicking this will take you to a confirmation page, and you'll immediately be sent an automated confirmation email, which lists additional information and a list of the shifts that you have signed up for. 

(5) Stay tuned to your email for more information about volunteer perks, ticket sales, and the volunteer trainings (which will happen in the two weeks leading up to the festival, in early February 2023). A volunteer guide will be shared with you automatically when you complete your shift sign-up. Please feel free to call the SYRCL Office and Community Engagement Team at 530-265-5961 x 201 if you have any questions.

NOTE: As of 2.15.2023, our greatest need for volunteers is in the Usher, Tech II, and Pass Checker roles. Thank you so much for considering adding one of these shifts to your selection :)
