Join us for our Wild & Scenic Trails Mile Marker Installation Days!
Are you passionate about hiking and ensuring the safety of outdoor enthusiasts? We are seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with installing new signage along trails in the South Yuba River Wild & Scenic corridor. This project aims to enhance visitor safety, improve wayfinding capabilities, and reduce emergency response times in our community.

If you are to sign-up, you'll meet SYRCL staff at our office (313 Railroad Ave, Nevada City, 95959) on the selected date and time, where we'll organize carpooling to the project site. Then, get ready to explore the stunning South Yuba River Canyon while contributing to a vital community project. (Please note that the area is home to Poison Oak and various tick species, so come prepared to encounter these natural elements).
Prior to the event, Rose Ledford will provide specific information regarding the distance and elevation gain required for the section we'll be working on.
This project, funded by the County of Nevada's American Rescue Plan allocation for Community & Economic Resiliency, aims to install signage along over 35 miles of trails, promoting safety and enjoyment for all visitors.
