2025 Salmon Expeditions Field Trip Registration

September 29th - November 21st, 2025

Please sign your class up for a field trip slot. Only register one class per slot. If there are two slots open on a specific day, that indicates two classes can attend a field trip on that date.  If you are signing up multiple classes for field trips, please include the teacher's name, email, and phone number who is attending the field trip. After completing your registeration you will receive a confirmation email along with a follow up email to schedule the pre- and post-trip classroom lessons.

Yuba River Salmon Expeditions Cancellation Policy

The South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL) looks forward to experiencing a Yuba River Salmon Expedition with your group. Below is a list of Terms and Conditions for your trip booking:

Trip Numbers and Cancellations:
o A minimum of 12 students are required for any trip. If your group does not meet the trip minimum, you will still be charged for 12 people.
o We try to have 1 teacher/adult chaperone per 6-8 students. This ensures each raft has one teacher/chaperone.
o You must notify SYRCL of the total number of participants 4 weeks prior to trip date.
o If the number of participants increases less than 7 days prior to the trip, this must first be approved by SYRCL. An updated invoice will be sent if increase is approved.
o SYRCL works to accommodate people with special needs – please specify any special needs when making a reservation.
o You are responsible for the cost of the participant total provided 4 weeks prior to the trip regardless of day of attendance. The rafting company schedules raft guides and total number of rafts needed for the field trip based on the number of participants provided.

School Cancellation Policy:
o If you cancel your trip at least 4 weeks in advance, there is no charge for the trip.
o If you cancel between 2-4 weeks in advance, there is no fee if we can fill the trip with another school. If we cannot fill the trip, the school must pay 50% of the trip cost.
o If you cancel the trip less than 2 weeks in advance, the school must pay for the trip in full. SYRCL will still provide classroom lesson presentations if desired.

SYRCL Cancellation Policy:
o SYRCL reserves the right to cancel the trip due to weather conditions, water level, smoke, COVID-19, or for other unforeseen reasons. If SYRCL cancels the trip, a make-up trip will be scheduled if possible. If the trip cannot be reschedule, the school will receive a full refund for the trip.
Trips may be rescheduled if:
▪ If air temperatures fall below 40° F
▪ If air temperatures fall below 50° with consistent heavy rain forecasted
▪ If AQI is above 150 in Smartsville or Browns Valley

SYRCL reserves the right to cancel expeditions if payment or proof of payment processing is not received two weeks prior to your field trip.
